Soft surface, low HR run in Kings Park. Going ok and right on target at 6 min/km and 118bpm until going DOWN the Broadwalk the HR jumped to 160, then 190. No noticeable effects, breathing normally, running normally. After turning to go back up the sand track at the outdoor cinema, I walked until HR was back to under 100. Immediately after starting to run again it jumped to over 200. Walked again, same thing, walked again several times. Pretty sure it's the stupid monitor and not me, but kept slowing and walking just to be sure. Probably a good idea anyway - the sand is the worst it's ever been, almost unrunnable. Need some good heavy rain soon.
