Orienteering race 33:15 [4] 5.2 km (6:24 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel Pursue 2

Metro Series at Carine, poor decision at 2 to go south to 11. Originally intended to get more in the urban bit to avoid going around the lake, but ended up having to do that anyway. Mistake at 21, misreading the fences and tracks.

1-2-11-13-12-4-7-8-9-14-16-17-28-20-21-22-26-25.

Around the lake was probably the best route, given that 23, 24 and 27 were all close. My route would have been better by getting 3 instead of 11 then adding 18, 19, 10, 11 and 27.

West coast ride, with the wind until the coast, then against me the rest of the way except for the short section on Oceanic Drive. The magpie at the Boulevard was too busy chasing a couple of pink & greys to bother with me. I suppose if you're stupid enough to think a cyclist is a danger to your young, then you'd believe that a galah would raid your nest and steal your chicks.
