training at F D Roosevelt SP, Pine Mountain, GA. Walked to a couple control sites south of SR 109 that were used at a previous A meet with Adam. Let Adam lead most of the navigation as it was his first time in O' terrain outside of greater Cincinnati. Good training as we identified various point features and found the 2 sites without problem.
distance and time are a rough estimate; both were probably longer... I don't have the map in front of me right now.
On the way back to the van, we picked up about a dozen empty beer cans & a bottle, but ran out of hands to carry them long before we ran out of trash that could have been picked up. We O'ers always do our best to keep our parks clean!

miscellaneous (golf) 18:00 [1] 1.0 mi (18:00 / mi)
shoes: A W Journey

9 holes with cart, Canoa Ranch. One nice par 3; missed a 20 foot birdie putt by about 6 inches and had to settle for par. A pair of roadrunners joined us while we waited at one of the tees, and one of them came within 6 feet of me. My, what a big beak you have! I think they were hoping for a handout, but I didn't have any lizards or baby birds with me, so they had to go away hungry.
