Saturday May 15 #

Running 1:20:00 [3] 16.0 km (5:00 / km)

With Sharon from the house and into Shuniah. Solid. Calf a bit tight but not really sore.

Friday May 14 #

Running 59:49 [3] 13.0 km (4:36 / km)

Shuniah Loop. Calf great for 48min and then very sore.

Thursday May 13 #

Running 1:03:48 [3] 13.0 km (4:54 / km)

Shuniah hour loop, calf great for 20min and then very sore.

Wednesday May 12 #

Running 1:03:57 [3] 13.0 km (4:55 / km)

Ran my hour Shuniah loop easy. I was surprised at how good I felt after yesterday but I guess that is what happens when you spend the whole day rehabbing. Calf was there but not bothersome or restricting in any way.

Tuesday May 11 #

Running 1:10:00 [3] 10.0 mi (7:00 / mi)

First half of the 10mile special block with Balabuck meeting at Leon's at 5:30am.

- WU to Start (16:25)
- 5min shit
- 5miles from the start to the halfway point in the Marina (30:03)
- Walk around (1:45)
- Run back to Leon's (20:51)

I am pretty pleased with this, I am definitively tired from training and just finishing an 8 day work rotation. I got off work a bit earlier yesterday and laid down for a bit and promptly fell asleep for 90min so I am not fresh. I think my strength is good but I am not sure about my speed.

I pushed pretty hard but not an all out effort, didn't kick the last stretch. One problem was my calf which had been great for about a week. It started hurting around 3miles and got progressively more sore. It was decent on the CD but is pretty sore right now. I have stretched, had acupuncture, and iced but really don't think another hard effort tonight is a good idea as disappointing as that is. Hopefully I will be able to do 10miles easier.

Monday May 10 #

Running 30:00 [3] 6.0 km (5:00 / km)

Before work. Felt decent, just one run to get a bit rested for a big day tomorrow.

Sunday May 9 #

Running 1:25:00 [3] 18.0 km (4:43 / km)

When I went to bed last night I wasn't starting work until 9:30am this morning and had a light day. When I woke up I had to be at work at 8am and the day was crazy busy. I was planning to do three hills but I only had time for 2.

- 22:33, 19:40 (42:13)
- 22:36, 19:15 (41:51)

First one was rough, mentally I was all over the place trying to figure out if I could squeeze in 3 and still get to work plus I was tired and feeling a bit beat down. Second one was much better, settled into a nice rhythm and felt strong.
