A big day out. Ran the first section from Hinterstoter, and pushed pretty hard all the way to Prielschutzhaus (hut) 900m climb in 80mins.
Then up to Groser Preil 2515m. This has some really steep chained sections
and a 200m snow section-
The Salomon XA Pro wasn't really the shoe of choice.
But it was actually much harder and scarier than i expected, happy to make it to the end.
Cloud cover from 2300m so couldn't see anything from the top.
But did see some of the animals- Can anyone name it? I thought they were rare at first but saw heaps by the days end.
Then descended into the awesome glacial valley on the other side to Fleischbanksattel.
Across to Temlbergsattel then decided it was too late to climb Spitzmaur 2446m so climbed Temlberg 2331 instead because it was closer.
Pretty tired climbing up, but after a bit more food I felt pretty good on the descent. via Slinserschlucht and Preilschutzhaus. The last few k's in the valley seemed to take a bloody long time though.Dipped my legs in the river at the end to aid recovery but shit it was cold, couldn't leave them in for longer than 20secs.
