Running long 1:37:47 [3] 16.0 km (6:07 / km)

Mt Majura/Mt Ainslie:- morning long run with the Cockies. Good fun running with a large group and plenty of chat. Body was pretty ordinary though and had a few more niggles annoying me. More stretching required.

Kayaking 55:00 [3] 9.0 km (6:07 / km)

Hazelwood Pondage:- morning paddle with Kathryn in the Red 7. Pretty windy but otherwise a nice morning. Struggled to get back up the lake into the wind and waves though. Lots of swimmers getting ready for the long distance race.

Running 30:00 [3] 6.0 km (5:00 / km)

Delburn:- Got dropped off on Creamery Rd on the way home to run a bit of blood through the legs. Finished with some backwards running drills while watching the helicopter practice landing at the depot 100m from home. Helicopters are cool.

Kayaking 1:04:00 [3] 10.0 km (6:24 / km)

Hazelwood Pondage:- The horrible weather continues but I finally made it out for a paddle in the arvo. It was probably about the best hour of weather all week too. Felt a bit weak, even using kathryn's Fenn 5 with a smaller blade.

Note

Anyone wanna buy some Crank Brothers EGGBeater Ti? Came with the bike and don't see why i should stop using my Time pedals

Running race 20:20 [5] 5.0 km (4:04 / km) +100m 3:42 / km

Loy Yang:- Another shocking day with plenty of storms. Actually made it with time to do a warm up which was good. Really winding and raining a bit when we started. Kathryn had 30sec start on me and I pulled her in a bit over the first 2km into the wind. But then she ran away from me on the downhills. Finished with really tough hill and I struggled to the line just behind Shane who passed me at 4km. I knew it was going to be close and was not too surprised when K sent me the results the next day showing she beat me by 2 secs. Oh well still plenty of work to do.

Running 35:00 [3] 6.0 km (5:50 / km)

Loy Yang:-

Road Cycling (Traralgon-Tyers-Boola Rd) 1:30:58 [3] 46.25 km (1:58 / km)

Traralgon-Tyers-Boola Rd Rtn:- morning ride from Traralgon to Tyers and up Boola Rd and turned around after 50mins as I had to get back for a massage. Still fighting a bit of a cold, but wasn't riding to badly. Even managed to miss the impending storm clouds.

My new bike arrived this afternoon. 2010 Merida Ninety-Six Team D. Looks very nice and I'll probably be too scared to ride it. Now need to win some races and prizemoney to pay for it, or get a real job...

just noticed merida have bike weights on their website now which weren't there when i was deciding between models.

Running (Delburn) 37:02 [3] 6.72 km (5:30 / km) +360m 4:21 / km

Delburn:- Legs had lots of sore spots today. Was meant to go paddling but didn't happen so went for jog in the arvo and did some running drills- both forwards and backwards. Also have a bit of a cold but didn't feel too bad running.
