Road Cycling 3:00:00 [3] 100.0 km (1:48 / km)

Morning. Traralgon to Heyfield Rtn.

Somehow dragged myself out of bed and into Traralgon for the local bunch ride. Bloody hard work but worthwhile. I learned that its actually easier sitting up the front doing turns then trying to hang on the back- at least when its really windy like it was. According to Spitzy some riders never work that out.

Trekking 1:53:13 [3] 9.9 km (11:26 / km) +377m 9:36 / km

Afternoon. Wilson's Promontory.

Headed to the Prom in the arvo and walked to Sealers Cove to meet Bianca, Steve and Alison. It was really windy and looked like it would rain but it wasn't too bad. Its such a nice track into Sealers.

Note

Went to Olympic Park to watch Kathryn race Zatopek 10000m race. Did a few laps warm up with her to make her feel fast.
It was a pretty shocking night weather wise. The track was very wet but not too windy for the race. The pace was pretty fast from the start and Kathryn only lasted a few laps with the pack but settled in behind Josie, her pacemaker from Vic 5km champs the other week. Then she ran with Lauren Shelley for the rest of the race but surprisingly Lauren had a bit more left in the finish.
Kathryn finished 13th in 34mins50, a new PB. And she didn't have to quit work and move home to mummy to do it...
