Note
I saw a snake when I was mowing the lawn today. Got me thinking, should I
a) mow the lawn more often
b) buy a whipper snipper to do the edges properly and give them less place to hide
c) hassle the builder to finish the house so we can move into town
d) Make Kathryn mow the lawn or
e) all of the above

Afternoon. Hazelwood Pondage.
Afternoon paddle with Kathryn. It was a crap day for paddling, windy as it always is and in a direction where it was impossible to hide. Felt pretty weak.

Evening. Hazelwood Pondage.
Decided to move up to A grade today. Decision proved right as there were too few B graders anyway and they just started with A. It was bloody windy as usual, and A ride 4 laps so it was gonna be hard work.
A thought I had an idea of what A grade was like from the other week where they caught B- but I was wrong. It was 48km of 10sec intervals as I tried to stay on the wheel as they surged again and again. The peleton split in the first lap, with me at the back and we finally made our way back on near the end of the lap. The next were pretty similar, with me feeling like I was gonna be dropped about 10times but somehow holding on. Finally had a few turns on the front on the last lap but apparently I have big L on the back of my helmet and no one is allowed to pass me until I'm worn out and they are doing at least 20kph faster than I am.
Well I mightn't like the tactics, but it will make me stronger. The annoying thing is I rode circles round most of these guys for 170km of hills last Saturday but can't hold their wheel when they surge. I will win a race by the end of the year*
*But probably not til next season
