Running long 1:58:56 [3] 20.4 km (5:50 / km) +519m 5:10 / km
shoes: new Salomon XA Pro (white)

Long run with Kathryn and Josh, from Josh's place in Boronia. I struggled for the first 25mins before I woke up but was ok after that. A mix of singletrack, firetrails and bike paths. Legs were a bit tight but could have been worse.

Running 35:00 [3] 6.0 km (5:50 / km)
shoes: Inov-8 X-Talon 190

warm up by self, and cool down with Ev and Bryan Keely (remember him?)

Running race 21:47 [3] 5.98 km (3:39 / km) +128m 3:17 / km
ahr:183 max:188 shoes: Inov-8 X-Talon 190

Athletics Victoria Cross Country Relays at Jells Park- running for Traralgon Harriers. Ran 2nd leg after Nick Shilling. I thought he may have been a bit closer to Keely, but was 30secs behind so I didn't have to battle with Ev running 2nd for Bendigo.
The course was quite fun, pretty soft grass with a few muddy bits and undulating. I was surprised to go through half way in under 11mins which motivated me more to keep pushing in the 2nd half. Though I get so bored in running races and my mind is wandering so much. Very happy with my time on a slow XC track, more than a minute faster than I was expecting. It was almost the same pace as I ran 5km on the track a few weeks ago.
3 PM

Road Cycling 1:47:48 [3] 36.12 km (2:59 / km) +788m 2:41 / km

Road ride in the Dandinongs with Damon, Fleur and Josh/Kathryn on the tandem with slicks. The pace was pretty cruisy except for the two big downhills where I was trying to stick with Josh/Kathryn. Josh is amazingly skilled riding that bike, and well Kathryn just has big balls. My GPS clocked 70kph and they were pulling away from me!! Josh was quoted at the bottom of the 1in20 hill "perhaps I did get carried away a little" and Kathryn said "yes I was scared but what could I do?)

Running 40:33 [3] 7.02 km (5:47 / km) +353m 4:37 / km
shoes: Asics Gel Nimbus 11

Woke up and body was really tight from last nights run. Hip didn't feel very good which is annoying.
Went for a limber up in the afternoon and felt better than expected.

[Afternoon ride from Trafalgar to Traralgon to run harriers. It wasn't warm but no wind which was a nice change. Legs seemed to be ticking over ok.

Running 40:00 [3] 8.0 km (5:00 / km)
shoes: Nike Air Span +6

Traralgon. Name]
[Quick transition and no warm up but somehow my legs felt really good for the first km. I didn't want to push too hard as I'm racing the AV relay on Saturday at Jells Park. Watch didn't start and I had no idea whether the course was 2 or 3 laps and I was on my own so I started to drift off a little. Was surprised when my time was about 19mins on a dark course. I guess sometimes you have good days.

Road Cycling 1:05:45 [3] 27.18 km (2:25 / km) +482m 2:13 / km

Short afternoon ride. Managed to find the only shower of rain all day for the first 15mins and had an icecream headache for the rest of the ride. Chest still not 100%. Probably would have been better staying inside with the down jacket on.
