I got dropped off on our way home from Melbourne at Warragul. Rode out the Warrigul-Korrumburra Rd, then up the Grand Ridge to Seaview and Mount Eccles. I had driven along this section of road recently for work. The loggers are actually cutting down the coupe I boundary marked in July. I wasn't sure if the whole road to Mirboo Nth was sealed- it wasn't. But it was only about 3km unsealed and this was in pretty good condition too so no problems. Followed Grand Ridge to Mirboo Nth, then home via Strzelecki Hwy but GPS battery ran out.
Great ride on very quiet roads and lovely scenery.

evening jog with Kathryn from DIS. Discovered a some more recent logging. Not happy. There's bearly any big trees left here anyway after the fires.

First run in the new Salomon Speed Cross 3. A definite improvement on the old model.

Harriers Race- Stockdale Rd
I was feeling very heavy and tired but decided I needed the training so decided to race. I was sitting behind John and Brett for the first km before that took off. I eased off a bit, but after the first lap I was surprised I was running quite fast. Pushed the 2nd lap and caught and dropped John (doesn't happen very often) and was very happy with my run. It would be good to get a bit more speed work done in the next few weeks, but I'm in better shape than I thought.
