Running race 18:40 [3] 4.97 km (3:45 / km) +9m 3:43 / km
shoes: Nike Lunar Elite

Latrobe Community Fun Run organised by the Harriers.
I didn't get much of a warm up, but enough. Confidence was pretty low since I haven't raced all year. In fact I don't think I've run a kilometre in under 4mins since October. I couldn't hold onto some guys that I can normally beat. But the time was actually much better than I expected. I think my legs are pretty strong, but I have to remind them how to run.

Paddle at the pondage. Very little breeze, which was unfortunate for the sailers. But every bogan with a jet boat was there so plenty of waves still. Bloody humid.

Warragul Cycling Club race
7 x 8km laps.
Nice morning, not too hot, not too windy. 11 riders.
There were a few attacks but nothing too serious. I spent half a lap on my own about half way. I had pulled a big turn and took 2 guys with me. But then they decided they didn't want to be in a break and just went back to the bunch. I planned to have a crack about 1300m to go on the last lap. But there pace had picked up by then and my legs didn't feel that great anymore. I moved into 2nd spot on the last downhill and sat there for a few hundred metres. But I should have been a bit more attentive for when the sprint started and hesitated a bit when the winner came by and missed his wheel. Ended up in 3rd.

Road Cycling 15:00 [3] 5.0 km (3:00 / km)

Warm up and cool down. Really should have done longer cool down as my legs felt smashed the rest of the night. and the next day too.

Road Cycling 1:18:40 [3] 47.39 km (1:40 / km) +53m 1:39 / km

LCCC Road Race.
Only 7 starters today, and lost one straight away- mechanical? The first lap was boring, 2nd a little better. On the third lap made a move on the power station hill and had a gap as no one chased. I eased off for a bit hoping someone would join me but nobody did. So I worked pretty hard til the end of the lap and had about 150m lead. But I knew it would be hard turning into the wind on the last lap. But they still seemed to take ages to catch up even though I backed off. Hopped back in the bunch and while there were a few small surges it wasn't that frantic. Came down to a sprint and unfortunately got jumped a bit early by one of the weaker riders who I didn't expect to do much. I went past 3 others who are far better sprinters and they never got on my wheel. But I fell about 2m short of catching the other guy. Damn still haven't got the hang of it.

Kayaking 53:13 [3] 7.79 km (6:50 / km) +21m 6:44 / km
shoes: Finn Molokai

Afternoon paddle on the pondage. Bloody choppy with the easterly blowing and the Molokai must be the tippiest boat ever made. Struggled to get moving.

Running 28:58 [3] 6.01 km (4:49 / km) +132m 4:21 / km
shoes: Nike Air Span 7

Quick run when I got home from paddling. The ITB felt pretty good which was pleasing, and my legs actually felt like running which was even better.
