Morning run along the Pondage and back up the hill. Beautiful morning for a paddle but got stuck with boat on car but without a paddle so had to run instead. Felt pretty heavy but I guess night shift will do that to you.

Quick stretch of the legs after a tough day at work. I had been trying to do as little as possible at work to save my energy for the weekend as most of my rivals are sipping lattes with their legs up in Tassie. Didn't work out today as there was plenty of work to be done.

Tasmanian Long Distance Champs and NOL (22/09/2012)

I was pretty annoyed with yesterday's race and this played in my mind a lot today. I felt quite tired for most of the race and the terrain was pretty tough. But I figured if I was hating it then so was everyone else. It took a while to get moving, and when I did start to catch guys- Steveo, Ecmo, Toph, I didn't have much more energy to drop them. I had a few errors of 30-45secs in the circle but nothing bigger today. Really pushed home hard as I was quite determined to get a better result and beat the youngsters. Ended up 4 mins down on Craney and 2 on RobW in third place which was about where I deserved to be. But hopefully I'm feeling stronger next Saturday.
