Bright Four Peaks- Mt Feathertop
I started a couple of mins in front of Damon and Craney. Craney caught 2mins in about 2km, shit! But Damon caught at 30min mark. I'd just had a gel and picked it up a bit. I soon found it was actually more comfortable than running on my own. And also much easier sneaking past all the other competitors in Damon's slipstream. Almost dropped off at the 1hr mark as I had my 2nd gel but caught back up and pretty happy with the run. Lost a few mins to Rob and Gareth who were impressive, and 1min to Kez.

Running 1:33:42 [3] 11.51 km (8:08 / km) +12m 8:06 / km

Nice run back down catching up with Josh and Damon, and Kathryn. Would be good to find a race on the calendar for all four of us...

Bright Alpine 4 Peaks- Mystic Hill
Got caught with my pants down at the start, literally. Came out of the toilet to see Damon and Josh just starting. Had a quick look around and didn't see anyone I knew left so just headed straight after them. Damon has obviously been doing some secret training as he was about a minute in front after the first 1km. I passed Kathryn, Darrel and Greg but was soon out of sight of Damon. Time had definitely dulled the steepness of this hill. I was pretty smashed after 20mins and Josh nearly caught me again by the top of the hill. Started the descent and passed a few guys who had passed me on the uphill, but then cruised the last flatter section and they ran away. Not sure of my time as I started my GPS late. Left foot was sore.

Paddle with Jen. Pretty slow, even with 1TB resistance it was a bit too easy.

Swimming 30:00 [3] 1.5 km (20:00 / km)

Swim session #3. For some reason got convinced to have a swim before work. It was actually quite peaceful, just needed a bit of mental imagery to imagine I was swimming at the beach.

Running 1:12:22 [3] 13.78 km (5:15 / km) +206m 4:53 / km
ahr:136 max:173 shoes: Nike Lunar Elite

Tuesday night Traralgon run with Kathryn, John and Liz. Started with sore L achilles, moved to sore L patella, finished with sore L foot. Bit worried I mightn't make 4 days of mountain climbing in Bright.

Afternoon paddle. Did one lap with 1 TB resistance, and then another 2km without TB. I really struggle to get my HR up kayaking.
