Warm up to Clark Avenue via Mill Laide plus 6 strides

Road Running 2:51 [3] 0.46 mi (6:12 / mi) +60m 4:25 / mi

Hill sprints with Hanna on Clark Avenue - 3 sets of short (12s), medium (19s), long (27s) hills with walk down recoveries. Most enjoyable.

Road Running 7:24 [1] 0.77 mi (9:37 / mi)

Jog back

Road Running 1:01:35 [3] 7.62 mi (8:05 / mi) +220m 7:25 / mi

Run up the main road into Bo'ness then along to Kinneil for a couple of loops in the woods, then home via Fisher S descent and Avalon Gardens. Felt far too tired for the pace for some reason so didn't push it.
2 PM

Conditioning 20:00 [3]

Kenny Wilson circuits #13 session - 3 sets of 7 exercises (40s on/20soff). Bad choice when not feeling too energetic so struggled through it.

Walking 1:40:00 [1] 4.73 mi (21:09 / mi) +240m 18:16 / mi

Family walk from Corb Bridge along Corb Glen. At the top of the pass we were tempted off up the steep slopes to the north though the ground got pretty rough before we hit a trod by a fence line which we followed to Corb Law. Covered some more rough ground off the summit before picking up the quad bike track back down to the glen. Lovely sunny morning, getting warm by the end.
3 PM

Road Running 48:41 [3] 6.45 mi (7:33 / mi) +140m 7:04 / mi

Run to Upper Kinneil and back via Clerk Avenue & Fisher S. Very warm (forecast said 27C) but at least the sun wasn't out much.

Walking 1:55:00 [1] 6.73 mi (17:05 / mi) +220m 15:31 / mi

Back for another walk family north of Glendevon - Knowehead & Greenhill forest trails. We're lucky with the weather as drive through rain to get there and back but largely dry for the walk. More nice quiet countryside, and walker friendly birds of prey.
2 PM

Conditioning 20:00 [3]

Kenny Wilson circuits - core session - 22 x 35s on/25s off
3 PM

Road Running 21:33 [4] 3.12 mi (6:54 / mi) +50m 6:35 / mi

Run in the rain to Parkhead Hill and back via Avalon Gardens and Mill Laide. Picked up pace to brisker than steady, but not that hard. Good to do a short run for a change.

Road Running 48:29 [3] 6.28 mi (7:43 / mi) +190m 7:03 / mi

Headed out via Clerk Avenue then up Preston Road loop, Hill House knoll then back via Clerk Avenue. Sunny & breezy again. Left ankle a bit twingey so not as far as I thought I might do. Think need to try new trainers.

Walking 1:50:00 [1] 6.31 mi (17:26 / mi) +250m 15:31 / mi

Family walk in Glendevon Forest. Did a big anti-clockwise loop, parallel to the road at first (though avoid Coulsknowe as owner didn't appreciate us passing), up the north side of Fanny Hill, then zig-zagging round Black Criech Hill and Burnt Hill back to the car. Good choice on a windy sunny day. Really enjoyed the route and saw no one again. Hanna was pleased to see quite a few buzzards up close and I was pleased they had no interest in attacking us, unlike the ones near Linlithgow!
2 PM

Road Running 48:49 [3] 6.31 mi (7:44 / mi) +160m 7:10 / mi

Parkhead Hill, Fisher S, turn at top of Fishers Brae and back via Fisher S and Clerk Avenue. Very breezy, but bright. Legs definitely wouldn't have been up for a session.

Walking 1:37:00 [1] 5.71 mi (16:59 / mi) +300m 14:36 / mi

Went a walk from Little Rig north of Glendevon. Plan was to climb Innerdouny but two thirds of the way up we had to turn back due to forestry workings. Added on an out & back on Muckle Rig down to Linn Hill. It was raining the whole time but great to get out a nice family hill/forest walk of sorts, first hills for 4 months. Didn't see anyone funnily enough apart from the workers.

Road Running 48:43 [3] 6.37 mi (7:39 / mi) +190m 7:00 / mi

Run to Williamscraig out & back for first time in a while. Came back via Braehead and Avalon Gardens. Another soaking, particularly heavy towards the end. Start of the summer holiday staycation...
