Pretty easy stuff, ran the first section quite hard but then very much cruised the last part because it was some of the easiest orienteering I've ever seen in my life.

Knock out semi. Really pissed off with myself with this but good learning experience. Sat too far back from the start then had a chance to pull a ralph but didn't (had planned on taking a different route to the others with about 3 controls to go but illogically ended up just following them even though I was coming 4th at the time and top 3 go through). Just as I tried to put in a final effort to catch Jakob I stacked, not sure what's going on with my luck atm.

Bit of a shit day all round. Some bad orienteering (stupid micro-route choices, wrong choice on the long leg), felt flustered the whole way, stacked many times (including quite badly on some sketchy as railtracks) and even ran into a pole while reading the map. Sad times. Thought it was a good course and area though, shame it just wasn't my day

Was meant to be a sprint training at moderate speed but felt like absolute crap. Felt like I was working incredibly hard for probably the slowest pace I've ever done in a sprint, sweating buckets even though it was cold, just felt like death. Not sure what it was and no other symptoms outside of running but skipped the afternoon session to rest up for the races.

EC Sprint race simulation at Langenæs
Really nice course and even had SI air, decent. Missed a couple of routes and made one small error where I turned one building too soon. Quite hesitant too, map print wasn't great but also just not quite on my game today on a techy course.

Rerun of this morning's course, very interesting stuff. Some people chose to do it straight away this morning but I figured it would be more useful to do it fresh. Maybe 25-30s of the difference is due to route choices (and the small mistake I made) and a little bit can be put down to doing this morning's one pre-brekkie. Still overall it shows that there are big improvements to be made with reading the map at speed. Supports my recent thinking that I've put the work in over the past couple of years to get my speed up to a point where I can be competitive, now I just need to put the work in to be able to orienteer at that speed. Exciting times I guess
