shoes: Saucony Peregrine 5

Easy run
Sharplaw-down bike track-up White Lodge-Sharplaw
Very muddy and wet unless on the road and felt it really cold.
Leg ok at that pace.

Saturday Jan 27, 2018 #

running race (Vogrie Parkrun ) 25:18 [4] 4.8 km (5:16 / km)
shoes: Saucony Peregrine 5

Not a particularly good run, leg still not up to racing and felt sick half way round second lap (probably didn’t give myself enough time between eating and running as it was last minute decision to go to parkrun and ate in the car on the way).

Thursday Jan 25, 2018 #

running 35:30 [3] 6.0 km (5:55 / km)
shoes: Asics GT1000 4

Steady run
Waterside-Riverside-Bonjedward-Monklaw-Sharplaw
Left it a wee bit late to go out as it was getting pretty dark before I got round. Quite a bit of mud and debris left from the floods yesterday.

Steady run round town

Felt tired all day and when running but improvement in leg again tonight.

orienteering race (Edinburgh City) 1:23:01 [3] 5.4 km (15:22 / km) +65m 14:30 / km
shoes: Saucony Peregrine 5

Lost confidence early on when sliding all over the place, thank goodness for railings and fences. Managed not to fall but walked quite a few times when others just seemed to find grip and run past. I felt I was not able to look at the map and navigate as I was too busy looking where I was putting my feet. I didn’t MP and hamstring better than after Bowmont last weekend so hopefully improving, so happy with that.

Wednesday Jan 3, 2018 #

running 58:00 [3] 9.0 km (6:27 / km)
shoes: Saucony Peregrine 5

As heavy rain forecast for tomorrow decided to run today.
Waterside-Mount Ulston (via a wee detour to Riverside)-Roman Road-Bonjedward Mill-White Lodge-Sharplaw.
Felt leg coming down Roman road but it eased off one back on the flat.

Monday Jan 1, 2018 #

orienteering race (Hallglen) 29:34 [3] 3.2 km (9:14 / km)
shoes: Saucony Peregrine 5

Resolution Sprint
Not pushing today but would have been difficult to do so as tricky navigation.
Good fun

Hill Run/walk (Dumyat) 1:10:30 [3] 7.0 km (10:04 / km)
shoes: inov8 talon 212

A very wet underfoot run up Dumyat with Ian and Kirstin but worth the effort.
