Orienteering 1:56:00 [3] 14.7 km (7:53 / km)

Long race today - went the distance for the big points but was too short on time to get the second double black diamond. Met up with Craig along the way and did the middle section of the course together but ran the long road home on my own (my lack of conditioning was slowing him down and he would not have made the RAV4 checkpoint). Wasted some time at 50, confused myself at the little river not thinking the the real creek was just yonder... But other than that there were no problems other than my lack of speed and stamina. Made it back with a few minutes to spare and beat the Three Amigos! :)

Orienteering (Middle Training) 2:00:00 [3]

Back at Foley Mountain after yet another poor sleep. Started off feeling really good and pretty precise for each of the controls up to 12. Then the wheels came off, I made many silly mistakes and found myself looking for the easiest way to get to each of the controls rather than looking at the whole map and simplifying... brain just wasn't there. Continued on and had a few good legs but they were followed but very messy ones.

Orienteering (Relay) 30:00 [3]

Did two of the relay maps on my own, had been in all of the areas over the weekend so felt pretty confident throughout, also, knowing it was the end of my weekend of training felt okay to push and run a bit harder (not worried about having to run on my ankle for another session). Lots of fun, short legs. Pretty clean, one hesitation and had to relocate on one. Fun! Great weekend, nice to see the gang from Ottawa again, run in a new area, and got some helpful tips!
