7 PM

Note
(rest day)

Carol King, James Taylor concert at Tanglewood.
Fabulous....
And how do you top them? Bring on Yo-Yo-Ma to play cello on "You've Got A Friend".
Got in line at 3:20 and nabbed one of the last up front spots on the lawn when the gates opened at 4. Then hung around in the shade reading the second adventure of Lisbeth and Mikael.
Dined on pates and cheeses, and finished off the bottle of Poulliy Fuisse.
Judy drove us back to the campsite at October Mt.
A peaceful night.........

Nice weather for a long ride to prep for CtC.
Have not been on this "42" mile route since last year, has some beautiful sections. Macho man note:
I was gaining on another rider apparently on the same route as I, and just as I got nearly to him, he suddenly stood up on a hill, but I had more momentum and pulled alongside, said "hi", and as I went by noticed the Pinarello sticker. It looked like one of the $10,000 models, so I laid back and asked him about the bike. He didn't have much to say really, just that it rode differently than his Trek Modane?
Oh, well, I like my Vent Noir, but I'd be curious to try a 10 grand bike.
