Harold Parker, thick, unmapped trails, but doing OK until I went by 3 but didn't see the control, so wasted more time re-re locating.

Note

Carrying controls with punch boxes and stands is way more work than I would like....you know..in the good old days I could carry 20 controls in a backpack and be able to run most of the time.
No longer, with stands and flags it is cumbersome to carry 18 controls, as i did on Saturday.
Today I tried using a small backpack and sticking them in upside down, but they would catch on trees in the forest and the weight would unzip the pack. I resorted to tying the zippers together.
It seems to me that one must separate the poles and controls, then the flags and boxes could go in a backpack, and the poles (without punches or plates) could be put in some longer pocket on the pack.

Picking up East BHT controls. Wandered a bit on 3 and 5 without a compass.
A tough course, congrats to all who finished, I was tired out just doing the 1st half.
