Charles from dedham rec, in the company of kevin. Downstream to cow pond, up through the cut (bust my paddle on a log in there) and carried on up to the top dam in needham. Downstream back to dedham rec. Kevin was hurting, so slower downstream than we would have been

Slushy sloppy Rock Meadow. Couple of inches of wet snow, with some melting, meant slow going

West barnstable trails. Comfortable first couple of miles, generally flat for the first (around 8 min pace) and more up and dr Ian for the second (8:50). Third mile, with steeper ups my R knee started to hurt on the ups. Sharp pains, and this was not good as I was about as far from the start as I could be. A bit of walking, some stretching, and it seemed to get better after about a mile. Stayed away from steeper ups for the rest of the run. No lasting pain, as of writing ( 3 hours later)
