Soccer 1:30:00 [4]

Hot, sunny, tiring, long game. We tied 1-1 to a team that wasn't great. We weren't playing our best because we only had 11 (then 10 after someone got injured). It turned into a pretty physical game, mostly coming from their team. Despite the tie, we're still doing well overall in the state cup!

Orienteering race 21:13 [4] 2.42 mi (8:46 / mi) +50m 8:14 / mi
17c shoes: Asics Gel Excite 3

Sprint at Shoreline CC. Good flow, minimal hesitations, good planning ahead, a few poor route choices. Lots of fun!

Running warm up/down 4:28 [2] 0.55 mi (8:07 / mi)
shoes: Asics Gel Excite 3

Short little warmup with Siri.

Running warm up/down 14:37 [2] 1.42 mi (10:18 / mi)
shoes: Asics Gel Excite 3

Warming up before the race. Eason invitational is weird because there's a gated field where all the athletes warm up, behind the stadium. From there, they take you down to the field just before your race starts.

Running race 12:14 [5] 3.2 km (3:49 / km)

Yay a good race for me! My goal was 12:15 and I reached it, which puts me at a pretty good place for getting sub-12 this season. I pushed myself the whole way again, which seems like it's been easier to do this year than it has in the past...

Splits were about: 88, 93, 94, 95, 91, 92, 91, 90

Running warm up/down 10:30 [2] 1.14 mi (9:13 / mi)
shoes: Asics Gel Excite 3

Cool down through the streets of Snohomish

Orienteering 51:14 [3] 3.25 mi (15:46 / mi)
8c shoes: Asics GT-1000 4

Flew into Denver this morning to check out colleges (CU Boulder and Colorado School of Mines). Figured if I'm going to college here next year I might as well check out the orienteering! I nabbed a map of White Ranch off of RMOC's route gadget and did about half of the course. Focused on precise map reading, which didn't always work out-- the map is old and could use some updates. It was so good to get out on a map again!

At the end, I did 2x 30/30s.

Running tempo 19:36 [4] 2.26 mi (8:40 / mi)
shoes: Asics GT-1000 4

Workout for today was 10x 30/30's (30sec on, 30sec rest). I did the first two at the end of the orienteering course, then took a short break to drop off my compass and map. Did 6x 30/30's, 2min rest, and finished up with the last two and a cool down.

Alpine Skiing 3:00:00 [2]

At Crystal again with my dad, Siri and Sean. We hiked the King twice. We also poached Right Angle, but the snow ran out halfway down (I'm sure the reason why it was closed), so we had to hike the rest of the way down. Fun long day!
