Hiking 25:00 [2] 0.5 mi (49:59 / mi)
shoes: Asics Gel Excite 3

Siri wanted to climb a mini mountain (hill) this morning, so we did before running.

Running 40:00 [3] 4.0 mi (10:00 / mi)
shoes: Asics Gel Excite 3

And then we ran loops around town. This felt really really long. Probably the longest short run I've ever done. It's not that it was boring (I had Siri, so how could it be boring? ;), it just felt like it took forever and was tiring for how slowly we were going. I'm thinking it's a combination of the elevation (we're at 5,853ft / 1,784m), and getting sick/having terrible allergies (can't tell which, maybe both?).

Hiking 6:30:00 [3] 8.5 mi (45:53 / mi) +1500m 29:38 / mi

We're in Sun Valley for the next week, and going to be doing a lot of hiking and mountain biking. We tried to climb Kent and Ryan, two peaks north of the town, but weather and exposure and running out of time turned us back before we made it up either. Kent wasn't a great climb. I think Ryan would have been better. Interestingly, many of Idaho's mountains aren't named -- even if they are noteworthy!

Running hills 43:06 [4] 4.6 mi (9:22 / mi)
shoes: Asics Gel Excite 3

Hill workout in Summerwind before leaving for Sun Valley. 2 mile warmup, then 6x hill repeats. Splits were 57, 54, 53, 54, 56, 54. I started out too conservatively but found a pretty good rhythm.

Wednesday Evening at Lake Wilderness. I was tired from mountain biking earlier, but had fun. I could have done a better job of reading ahead more than one leg.

Note

Graduation today! Next year I'll be in Boston at Northeastern University. With all of the graduation activities for the past week, my training has not been looking so good, but now that the hubbub is over, I'm getting back into a regular schedule.
