Ultimate Frisbee 1:00:00 [1]
slept:7.0

I decided to check out the women's ultimate frisbee team this spring, since I realized that I really, really miss team sports. My options were soccer (been there, done that), rugby (I think I could be really good at rugby, but I don't want to get injured, and I think playing rugby is asking for an injury), lacrosse (ehhh), and ultimate frisbee (huge learning experience). The gals who play are in general supposed to be a good group of people, and it definitely seemed like it at the 2hr practice I hopped in on. I'll give it a couple more weeks and see where I'm at with it. It's definitely nice to have built in agility, direction changes, plyo, quick explosive speed, etc! Haven't had that in a fun, team setting since I quit soccer. :)

Horses and back. I just barely got caught on the wrong side of the train tracks, so I had to stop and wait for the 131-car train to pass before crossing the tracks again.

Easy day at Bridger with Serafina. I popped on up to the ridge for a quick run by myself, and it was incredibly rocky. Supposedly football field was good, but Z chute, where I went, was pretty dicey to get into. The snow further down was great, though, since the rocks scared away most people. My skis are undeniably rock skis after these first handfuls of days in such low snow conditions.

Skiing sourdough canyon is good in a pinch, but it’s a lot of work going up the canyon followed by not so much work going down the canyon. There are better places to ski. Due to the lack of snow, however, this was the only BSF trail that was groomed recently, so I made it work.
