85min run didnt take it too hard, shin felt sore early on but it got better as the run progressed. i think this run did it some good

orienteering race (Bendigo Local event) 40:19 [5] **** 7.0 km (5:46 / km)
spiked:8/15c

Went to bendigo local event on apollo hill. started with Schepisi and toph at two min intervals. I ran really hard and took lots of risks. this didnt pay off as i lost about 5 mins to stupid mistakes. mainly due to losing contact with the map at high speeds and taking bad bearings out of control sites. toph only beat me by 1 minute which was alright considering how much time i lost. schepisi beat me by about 30 secs. a bit embarrassing. i guess slow and steady does win the race after all...........the sledging begins

Got out the high altitude gear and an iceaxe and went and did a hills session, thought my shin was feeling good while i was running but it was not so good afterward

orienteering (Easy run through terrain) 45:00 [2]

easy run through browns reef with map, dark, right calf felt really tight, especially at the upper end of it and shin is still niggling

Cycling - Mtb (Recovery Ride) 1:20:00 [2]

Steady 80 min recovery ride. opted for a ride instead of a run due to niggling shin pain

Running intervals (Monna Fartlek) 20:00 [4]

20 min monna fartlek, with 10 mins warmup, 10 mins cooldown. not really fast but quite solid. felt good. but had niggling pain in my right shin

orienteering race (Vic Relay champs) 31:30 [5] **** 5.3 km (5:57 / km)
spiked:16/21c

vic relay champs, junior national o-league race. ran 3rd leg started in equal second. runnong in pack almost the entire race very fast. sprint finish for places. was out sprinted for 3rd. but i had 2nd fastest time for the course, happy enough with that
