Went to the Physio today, who looked at my shin and recommended that for the next week i ease back into my running program by going for a 15min run today and adding ten minutes each day. its a pain in the arse but he reckons i will be back to full strength in a week or so. Im going to complement it with riding each day so i dont lose too much fitness. this means that i wont have a long run on sunday and may not do hills next week. also bought a slick new pair of shoes today. i wanted the ones with rocket boosters but unfortunately they were just out of them.

Cycling - Mtb (Mountain biking on yarra) 1:25:00 [2]

went out for a ride on the roads but i quickly became fed up by being past by old men in tights on slick new road bikes. so i diverted down to the treacherously wet trails of the yarra flats, no pensioners on road bikes there. got absolutely drenched and felt good on the way back as my mountain bike looks far more credible when its rider is caked in mud (and lets face it, cycling is all about how you look). cant wait to run again, no old timers to pass me then.

Heeded Candyman and CrazyDave's advice and went for a ride for about 2hrs mostly down and around yarra, felt alright. forgot to eat lunch though and i really suffered towards the end of the ride. will hopefully get the 3000m done some day and will remember to eat lunch.

easy monday night run with MFR, my shin is seriously worrying me after tonight it is inflamed and swollen, going to try to get to the physio this week. geez its shitting me!!!!
not a great way start a new training program.
