longest run ive done in quite a long time. started off with a lap of no. 7 res and then cruesoe res, then wound my way up the mountain bike tack to the top of the range, ran back down the range and back up it, then ran along the range to the highway, back down to no.7 and finished off with laps of the resevoirs. pretty warm today so i didnt leave until 7pm so by the end it was starting to get dark so it was good to finish on flat smooth tracks

Triathlon race 54:30 [5]

Did the local club triathlon today, 400m swim, 15km ride and 4.5km run
was a bit worried about the swim before i started so i went with the slow bunch and took off last, the swim was held in lanes and you were swimming in a line of people so you couldnt pass anyone until the the last lap. the slow bunch went pretty slow and i had to do a bit of treading water so i didnt swim over anyone. anyway got out of the pool and raced past em all in the 500m dash to the changeover. got on the bike and hammered the first lap passed a few people, then got continually overtaken on flat sections and downhills just couldnt seem to go quick enough. second changeover was quick but christ the first 2 laps of the run were bloody tough, my legs were like rock and i was doing about 4'30" ks, picked up the pace for the last two laps, times were approx. 8.20 for the swim, 28 for the ride and 16 for the run.
cant remember the last time i hurt as much as i did at the start of the run. but had fun and will definately do it again

before tomorrows triathlon attempt i had to actually make sure i could swim 400m without drowning. success!

plan was to go to the track for a session after work. i arrived at the track and realisede i had not brought my running shorts. went home to get them and couldnt be arsed going back to the track so just did a session in the bush,
4x1km on my old route, could exactly remember where 1km started and finished but my times were about what i would expect so i guess it must have been ok

did a monna fartlek through pretty a pretty undulating area on browns reef

was going to do a session after work but it was too hot, so i piked and went to the pool to do some laps, geez it was nice

went for a pretty easy run after the swim
