orienteering 20:00 [3] 4.0 km (5:00 / km)
shoes: Brooks T4 racers

victorian sprint champs.
took the left route on the way to three (under the overpass) and couldnt make any sense of the the map at the overpass, couldnt get through where i thought i would be able to and lost a heap of time. also lost my patience. lost more chunks of time at 8 and 15. threw in the towel and jogged the second half of the course.

went for a jog with bryan, leon and troysie afterwards around box hill

orienteering race 58:00 [5] ***** 8.9 km (6:31 / km)
shoes: Brooks Cascadia

local event at kooyoora. best and technically hardest course of the year. actually probably the best event ive done since oringen last year. loop course at the northern hardasfark end of kooyoora which we never use..
lost a heap of time on number 1 and 5.. number 1 being the easiest control on the course (lost 3-5 mins at each of those, small time losses at a couple of others two). will put my gps track up soon, it will be a pisser.

its worth a look, there was actually a map change halfway around, but both loops are on the same map on route gadget, so it was easier to read than it looks

got home from orienteering to find i had locked myself out of the house.. got a little angry and realised if i didnt go somewhere else my tantrum would probably digress further and i may have smashed a window and broken in.. so i went for a jog and got some fish and chips.. nothing like grilled flake to sooth my fury :)

shin was feeling a bit better today so i went down the lake to belt out the session i skipped yesterday... just did 4x1km reps with about 90 secs recovery.. averaged 3.14.. windy, cold and lonely tonight

went to the lake to do a session with jim and bryan, but had a really tight right calf/achilles so i bailed and just jogged a few laps.. hopefully can do a good session tomorrow
