long run down to spring gully and then out to white hills and back

orienteering race 43:30 [4] 7.8 km (5:35 / km)

state series event at kangaroo gully.
started out pretty well, was running hard, feeling good and spiking everything.. but i blew the first control in the erosion, 7 i think.. aimed to run straight over the hill and down the gully that led to the control but i ended up being in the gully to the east.. ran into the erosion about 200m to tthe east of the control and had to get out relocate and head back in, probably lost about 2 mins.. pretty happy with the rest of the course though.. blew maybe 30secs each on 5 and 12, went in a gully too early before 5 and just couldnt see the flag at 12.. felt good though, nice to have some water in the dams
