Running 30:00 [3] 6.0 km (5:00 / km)

easy jog with nick and giancarlo from home after a long commute home from spain. highlight of which was Mate's form at 6am on the motorway this morning in spain
murmuring to me after 10 mins of driving
'can you pull over at the next petrol station'
30 seconds later
'ok, pull over now'
nek minute his window is down and the passenger side of the car is splattered with hungarian spew. i lol'ed.

Running warm up/down 50:00 [3] 10.0 km (5:00 / km)

10 AM

orienteering race 41:54 [3] 8.34 km (5:01 / km)

Andalucia Middle WRE
had a pretty decent run, rough as in the dunes for the first 5, probably lost a couple of minutes there, but then pulled my head in after that and only had a couple of small 20-30 seconds blues after that. 11th place about 3-4 mins off the pace in elite, probably would have got me about mid field in the super elite. pretty happy given ive been crook the last couple of days.
fun course

Running 31:09 [3] 6.4 km (4:52 / km)

andalucia prolouge.
still a bit to sick to really have a crack which is shame because this was a really fun race. mass start with about 150 guys. first nine controls were scatter-o that you could take in any order then then rest of the course was straight forward, i took the first 9 in about the worst order possible so entered the forest well down, made some headway until i ran into a cactus and had to stop to remove 5 thorns from my quad. ouch

Relay Training.
fantastic map course and training. relay training with jarla, lidingo, linne and some others. started in groups of 5-10 guys at about 20-30 second intervals, there was about 100 guys so this was great relay training. i started in a group with nickj, oystein, mårten b, serrander and giancarlo.. goal was to stick with them, but i went to the wrong split on the first and 4th controls so last i saw of them was up the hill to the 5th caught back giancarlo and serrander on the way but we orienteering like idiots between 5 and 9 and lost heaps of time, pulled my head in after that and got away from giancarlo so i was happay about that
