shoes: Inov8 X-Talon

TTaraura Mountain race. Well after the storm that came though wellington on Friday it made the track rather slow going very very wet the whole way. Got to first hut in 2hr 27min then along the top it was FREEEZING im told it was 2 degrees there was quite a bit of snow and the wind was gale force, didnt put enough clothes on before i got to exposed area and then was to scared to stop so wasnt that good, lost feeling in face, arms feet and fingers so really my whole body. Also had a leppen (Energy shot) and yeah body didnt take it, got wicked stomach cramps the whole way over tops so had to walk. Never have one of them again!!!!
Down hill was worst part of whole race, to rocky to run fast and very slippery my knees are completely stuffed now which isnt good.
Came 2nd which was rather gutted about lost it on downhill part, was fastest to first two hutts and yeah lost like 10min on the downhill but there times say it took longer than my watch says so have no idea.
