Orienteering 1:26:35 [4] 13.3 km (6:31 / km)

Day 1 of West Point A-Meet, 9.5+380. No mistakes but feeling slow. 3rd place, not bad.

Note

Looking at some orienteers' 10-K results from Austria from this weekend, it amazes me how far I still am behind those guys, even after a winter of fairly hard training. best o-time was 31:54 (5:10/mi) and my friend phil who i used to beat in the past did 35:57 (which is 5:50/mile, about my mile-rep speed). I would be happy with a sub-40 time at this point..

Running (there) 24:19 [3] 3.4 mi (7:09 / mi)

to boston common. felt better than yesterday, but still a little tired

Running (Attempt at Intervals) 3:12 [3] 0.5 mi (6:24 / mi)

1:36, 1:36. not today.

Running (in between) 5:00 [3] 0.5 mi (10:00 / mi)

Running (back) 24:22 [3] 3.4 mi (7:10 / mi)

Shad to N Harvard. Pathetic effort. I'm tired.

Running (warmup/down) 25:07 [3] 3.5 mi (7:11 / mi)

A nice day, 55F, calm

Running (Intervals) 23:27 [5] 4.0 mi (5:52 / mi)

4x1 mile along the Charles. Elliot underpass was flooded so I had to improvise a bit (and the measurement is not exact). Another one of the "my body feels like jell-o" days, so a tough workout. A little faster than last week but the last rep too slow again.
5:46, 5:50, 5:52, 5:59

Running 16:00 [1]

4x4 mins slow jog/walk in between

Running 1:04:15 [2] 8.0 mi (8:02 / mi)

Steady run at Loch Raven, Maryland with Kenny's dad. A nice area for a morning spin, quite hilly and runnable if a little bland for orienteering. (Didn't stop the guys making a map of it, though)
