1st runner for Aussie relay team, with Asha and Tara. Had a good run. Only 1 with my first control. I met NZ girl at 4th where we met with Caroline. Then branched off again till last loop where the 3 of us caught each other again .
Unfortunately Asha MP as she took the wrong map. Course length 4.8

Long champs, pretty happy with my run. Made some bad route choices on reflection. Getting used to holding map and compass in right hand. Course was 6.6km so definitely went a bit far around.

Really happy with run today. Tackled the senior boys relay course with most of the Open elite women. Felt I made some silly route choices that cost me time but other than that I got into the circle well. Feels so must better to have compass in correct hand. Thanks Warren and Tash.

Results show I mis punched but I was definitely there as Natasha Key was there at the same time. Used as training again and definitely happy with my run. Still getting used to opposite hand use.

Went out on an enter on day course as mum said she hadn't entered me which she had. I ended up going with Warren Key for a training run. The line for my course was too long to wait so I went on Warrens map which was the men's A, 7.2km. This means in the results we both mp. He got me to change the hand I hold compass and map in. Bit confusing at first but it seems logical. Had a good training session though

Not the best. Mp but I'm sure I went to 3. Tracker shows me in the circle. Splits say I lost close to15minutes. Oh well will use the Bathurst 3day events for training. Feel like I'm running slow. My legs still not fully recovered from Worlds. Normally I would have 2 weeks off to recover. Map was only 3.6km, direct route so I did 2km more. Bad route choices.

Not the best result. Going well till last control. Was convinced it wasn't my control, so I wasted 3-4 mins looking for it and then realised I had punched. Cost me a place. I really need to stop self doubting myself.

orienteering race (Sprint) 20:50 [5] 3.66 km (5:42 / km) +26m 5:30 / km

Sprint Champs. Silly stuff up from last control to finish. Map was 3.1km so pretty happy with routes, apart from last control .
