I have been thinking about the longest straight line leg thing that is going around Attackpoint right now. Using our existing maps (and not rogaining maps - because then Douglas Lake Ranch would win), these are the options that Sage has:
Sabiston Creek (where we hosted WCOC 2014): Only 5.1km - which surprised me
Mount MacPherson (BCOC 2018 Venue in Revelstoke that I mapped): 5.2km
Grasslands/McQueen Lake (Above Kamloops, but significant parts are very old maps): 9.5km
Kelowna Nordic (Semi-Auto-Generated Map Just Ouside Kelowna that is in progress): 6.0km

"Remote Training" down in Haines Creek that I set around 3 weeks ago, but didn't hang the flags on. Feet were good for the first ~18 minuets, but deteriorated rapidly thereafter. Bailed about 1/3 of the way through the course, and just walked back down the hill. Frustrating.
