Orienteering race (US UltraLongChamp: Orange) 1:26:24 [4] *** 7.7 km (11:13 / km) +765ft 9:45 / km
spiked:10/12c shoes: Salomon XA Comp

Knee held up much better than expected...physical therapy must be working!

More minor errors that added up over that distance. Caught a West Point cadet and a 12 year old from 5-6, but kept passing them as I would continue to make minor mistakes or poor route choices.

Orienteering race (US Sprint Champs - Red) 19:38 [4] *** 2.6 km (7:33 / km) +180ft 6:50 / km
spiked:15/18c shoes: Salomon XA Comp

Felt sluggish mentally and physically. Rarely ran on trails, so it was hard to look at the map while running fast.

Orienteering race (ROC A Meet - Middle Red X) 46:00 [4] *** 4.6 km (10:00 / km) +660ft 8:12 / km
spiked:14/18c shoes: Salomon XA Comp

Ran from the finish area to the start just in time to tape and pin a clue sheet (upside down) and have my name called. Phew.

The race didn't go much better than the arrival. No major mistakes, but many small errors.

Cycling long (Highlander Cycle Tour) 7:45:00 [4] 102.0 mi (4:34 / mi) +7000ft 4:17 / mi

Lowlander route of the Highlander Cycle Tour. Elapsed time: 7:45. Ride time: <6:30. 102 miles. 7000 feet of climbing.

Dozens of flat tires out there! Spent 30 minutes helping other with mechanical issues, another 30 waiting for friends. Route 12 out of Naples was tough at mile 90. Wish I had a granny gear several times, but made it without.

Forecast was rain at 7AM and cloudy the rest of the day. Actual was cloudy at 7AM and misty rain the rest of the day.

More details, including the elevation chart, available here: http://www.highlandercycletour.com/lowlander.htm

I could have run the 1/2 marathon the following day, but not the full. Perhaps that could be a new category to complement the Highathon (Highlander route + Rochester Marathon). The Lowathon could be the Lowlander route and the 1/2 marathon.
