Low 80s and overcast. First run race since July 4. I didn't remember the course very well since it's been a few years since I ran it last. I didn't see many people that I recognized other than Gil. Since I hadn't raced in a while, I decided to try to use him as a pacer. I kept him in sight the entire way, and was only a few seconds behind him at the finish.

I didn't think this was a bad time considering the course, but I didn't push myself very hard either. I passed the 1 mile mark around 6:10. No other mile marks or times were available.

First time on roller skis this year. There was a good group out...10-12 people, all somewhere around half my age.

The workout was a 30 minute warmup, then a ladder drill: 3 minutes, 4 minutes, 5 minutes, 5 minutes, then back down, with same recovery.

I skied with Mary for an hour rather than try to keep up in the workout.

I felt great today. I started out fast, so decided to alternate 1 mile hard, 1 mile easy. Hard miles were in the 6:45 range. Easy around 7:30.
