Running (Canal Path Run) 1:05:00 [3] 8.5 mi (7:39 / mi)
weight:138lbs shoes: Brooks Adrenaline GTS 6

A chilly 35 degree morning, but felt great. Ran in heavy tights, heavy polypro and a long sleeve shirt.

Large crowd again this week: Dave, Keith, Fred, Kevin, Ron & I. Took our time heading out to Perinton Park. Didn't consciously pick up the pace the rest of the way to the lift bridge. Stopped briefly at the dry water fountains, then headed back. Stopped briefly in Perinton Park for Dave to work out a calf cramp, then went on without Dave at 31. Here are the splits that I remembered to take:
36:22: Basin to Lift Bridge (with brief stop at bridge)
7:07: Lift Bridge to Park
0:45: stopped/stretched
21:41: Park to Basin
4:00: back to run in with Dave

It looks like it was about 35 minutes out, and 28 back.

Running warm up/down 15:00 [3]
shoes: Brooks Adrenaline GTS 6

Shooting (prone only) 1:00:00 [1] ***
spiked:12/30c

A gorgeous, amazingly warm, fall day, with very few people at the range. Unfortunately, I had to deal with an M-14 only 1 shooting station away. I had a few fliers that may have been the result of the M-14 going off as I was squeezing the trigger.

I was much more consistent than usual, with 26 of 30 shots in the 4-inch ring.

Running race (Race with Grace 10K) 39:01 [5] 6.2 mi (6:18 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Adrenaline GTS 6

Race with Grace 10K
1: 6:02
2: 6:05 (12:08)
3: 6:12 (18:20)
3.1 0:43 (19:04)
4: 5:41 (24:45)
5: 6:26 (31:12)
6: 6:28 (37:41)
6.2: 1:19 (39:01)

4 of 81 in age group
54 of 1014 overall

I think it's pretty amazing that I was able to run this pace considering that I haven't run much in the last 2 weeks. I think the 5K split was my best 5K of the year. Tom Lamme caught me around 5K, but I couldn't stay with him. He beat me by 10-15 seconds.

Next up: Jingle Bell Run

Running warm up/down 40:00 [3] 3.0 mi (13:20 / mi)

Easy run in prep for Thursday race
