Only made 1 error in the first 12, then had a catastrophic error going to 13 that ended my race. Ran into a stick resembling a punji stake that resulted in a huge lump and minor bleeding.

First time in the pool since thinking about doing my first triathlon in a few weeks.
25 yard pool.
alternated front crawl & back stroke
swam very slowly
rested every other lap
waited 10 minutes after last lap before getting out
no lightheadedness

Nice, easy pace

Upper body lifting. Had to get my money's worth going to the community center. :-)
