MTBO race (Aus Long MTBO Champs) 1:57:00 [4]
ahr:146 max:165 shoes: Bike: Merida Carbon FLX

Was pretty unmotivated for this, and when I made a massive mistake early on I pretty much switched off. Andrew Fellows must have made heaps of mistakes to not beat me, in fact he was almost 10min behind!

MTBO race (Aus Middle MTBO Champs) 54:00 [4]
ahr:155 max:174 shoes: Bike: Merida Carbon FLX

Started out pretty well, but had a lot of trouble on one control in the vauge rides. Had to bail out to a main track and find it from the other end, losing about 5 min. After that I backed off a bit, and Andrew Fellows was beating me on most splits. This guy is pretty fast on the bike, but quite often this just means he is the fastest guy riding the wrong way.

MTBO race (Aus Sprint MTBO Champs) 21:17 [5]
ahr:169 max:185 shoes: Bike: Merida Carbon FLX

Could actually find all the tracks this afternoon, which is saying a lot in this area! Was actually pushing hard most of the way and felt good.

Orienteering race (Aus Relay Champs) 43:14 [5]
shoes: VJ Twister

Had a fun time, it's been ages since i've run a relay first leg. Not a particularly clean run, felt I had chances to pull away but stuffed up or let others lead me astray.

Recovery ride along the foreshore in Hervey Bay. Legs were absolutely toasted, and feet even worse :(

Orienteering race (Aus Long Champs) 1:53:10 [5]
ahr:170 max:186 shoes: VJ Twister

Holy shit that hurt. Haven't run over an hour for a lot more than a year, and it showed! Started off pretty sloppy and got caught by Rob before halfway. The elastic was stretched quite a few times, before I got back ahead after Rob missed 16. He then disappeared off the wrong way on 19, but I got way off on 20 and he was scrambling out the erosion gully as I got into it. After that the wheels fell off completely, and I was reduced to walk/jog back. Was around 5th place at 19 before I hit the wall which made me feel a little better.

Rode back from the event to Hervey Bay. Was a little longer than I wanted, but just smashed it to get back quicker ;) Legs felt much better afterwards, stupid running is hurting them too much!

MTB 1:01:00 [2]
ahr:133 max:162 shoes: bike: Scott Hardtail

Rode from home to Upper Beaconsfield for the final of our clubs Winter Series.

MTB race 1:18:00 [5]
ahr:169 max:185 shoes: bike: Scott Hardtail

Started without any proper warmup after helping with entries before the race. Young Scott Liston took off like he had a rocket up his arse and I was definately not in my comfort zone keeping up on the first couple of laps. We eased back for the 3rd and 4th, before Scott had chain trouble on the 5th. I waited a bit but he was no where in sight so I just carried on the the final lap. Course was well wicked. Super fast, quite grippy but still loose enough to keep you on your toes.

MTB 2:20:00 [3]
ahr:146 max:174 shoes: bike: Scott Hardtail

Rode home through Lysterfield (lap of the park), Belgrave and Kallista. Ended up being a bit more tired than I anticipated, was a long day with a hard race in the middle!

Road bike 2:55:00 [3]
ahr:148 shoes: Bike: Scott Addict R3

Started out cold, then got sweaty doing the SE efforts, then it started hammering down rain. Was still ages from home and got the coldest I have ever been since doing the Baw Baw Classic the year it snowed at the finish :(

Road bike intervals 36:00 [4]
shoes: Bike: Scott Addict R3

SE efforts up the wall (Monbulk towards Olinda)
3 x 12min efforts, 6 min between (ave HR: 174, 173, 171)
