ORIENTEERING race (York Park Race) 30:38 [5] *** 5.4 km (5:40 / km) +40m 5:28 / km
spiked:11/14c shoes: Hardrocks

York Park Race.

Made a couple of errors by missing little junctions and planning ahead too much - also slipped over at number 2, that jarred me a bit!
Great courses and awesome to run in the same race as Mats Haldin!

RUNNING warm up/down 15:00 [3]

Great orienteering with Lizzie - good control flow and great to see how other people orienteer. It did rain a little but was lovely!

RUNNING (Totley Moor Fell Race) 39:40 [3] 6.0 mi (6:37 / mi)
shoes: Highlanders

Totley Moor.

Fecking steel fell race at the start but got better.
Found out i'm ok if its mostly uphill and not nice underfoot. Anything flat or downhill and I go to pieces!
great positioning - another top 25 position.

ORIENTEERING race (British Relays) 46:00 [5] *** 6.5 km (7:05 / km) +110m 6:31 / km
spiked:20/22c shoes: OLWAY Tigers

I had a pretty good run on the sunday and managed to get round fast! I spiked 20/22 controls and felt really good even though my feet felt like they could fall off... the new OLWAY Tigers I'd bought were actualy amazing - i'd recommend them to everyone!
I love middle distance races!!

RUNNING 20:00 [3]

ORIENTEERING race (British Elite Long Distan) 2:10:00 [4] **** 14.1 km (9:13 / km) +365m 8:10 / km
spiked:28/32c shoes: VJ Twisters

Feet hurt.

I made the mistake of not retiring my old VJ Falcons after the 10Mila and decided to run in them again...little did I know that my studs were going to go through the sole and damage my feet on the way round - at pretty much the furthest point round I was in agony - off the pace anyway due to being rubbish at 2 controls (missing them by 5meters and not seeing the flag!!) but yeah I didn't enjoy it one bit. The moor on the far side of the road was as boring as hell and the map and control sites (i thought) were pretty rubbish. If they'd have looped us around the technical area I would have enjoyed it more - but would have probably got dizzy - and this would have also ruined the relays - which were amazing!

RUNNING race (Fell Race) 38:55 [5] 6.0 mi (6:29 / mi) +300m 5:37 / mi
shoes: Highlanders

Tiger's Todger Fell Race: 6miles, 880ft climb.

Nice Fell Race - took it a little easy on the up hill as was still a bit tired from training and the 10Mila. Sat back and reeled in loads of runners up to OxStones. Ran really fast downhill and took 4 places in the last 300m. Even managed to beat lizzie by a second on the line! Hahahaha!
Quality - might give this fell running lark a go at some point - bit too much road though!

RUNNING warm up/down 20:00 [3]

Gentle but tough!
