Running 30:00 [3]
ahr:152 shoes: New Asics

Once again was not really feeling in the mood. Due to living at home I feel slightly tied by meal times. After getting back from work there is not enough time to run before the meal and yet given a good gap after the meal it is getting dark. Decided to do a kind of long interval run, into the village downhill was easy then back home on the slight uphill was hard. Left knee felt a little sore, also stomach felt bloated, so maybe didn't leave as long as I should after the meal.

Running race 44:40 [5] 6.2 mi (7:12 / mi) +220m 6:29 / mi
shoes: Inov-8 trail shoes

Bradbourne Fell Race

First running event I have competed in, just wanted not to finish last in a field that included lots of older people. Went off reasonably quickly and was feeling pretty exhausted by end of first lap. Picked up a few places on the uphill parts of the 2nd lap then lost them and more on the downhills. Final uphill into the village finish I really pushed it and overtook several people, was on the verge of being sick and didn't have anything left for a sprint finish, luckily I had broken the people behind me with my uphill push. Winning time was 33 minutes so was 12 minutes off the pace, came 46 out of about 80 competitors which isn't bad for a first race, most however were M40 and above or older women, still I guess running is their first sport given the number with club vests on.

Running 31:00 [3]

Steady jog, 25minutes in heart rate zone 136-165bpm. Think I have twisted my knee slightly on the last down hill section before home, really need to get myself some new trainers, my ones are years old and have virtually no padding left.
