0800 - It started well. Was with a good bunch that probably would have done a sub-58. On 5th lap I got my split-shaft paddle caught under the tail of a K2 going around the tight buoy, which then twisted. Avoided falling out, but then had to stop to reset the feather. I'd lost about 70m and all will to chase them down, so spent the last 5 laps warming down, first with Tweet, then Sam.

1700 - Quite a tough session, but felt strong for a change.

1730 - 8 long laps of Emmies. Felt good and could feel that the boat speed was up from this weekend. Looking forward to Time Trial tomorrow night. Will give it horns.

I've been coughing like a dog for 2 weeks now. Have noticed an improvement in the last 2 days. At this rate I hope it's all over by Friday.
