WC3 Norway Relay 3rd leg
We decided with the boys that Morten runs 1st leg instead of me cause I had sprinted all my energy out yesterday in the race, while he still had some energy left.
All 3 of us were really tired before the race and we all made mistakes. I was waiting for Giacomo when the lead came to the finish, there went my motivation. I still tried to hype myself up to do a super run. But once I got the map and started running, I knew right away that today was not gonna be the best. To #1 it was still okay, focused and reading everything. But then I got totally distracted, mind drifting to the wrong place(thinking about this year's races, how well I've done) that I had no idea where I was coming to #2. I even pulled back to the trail to relocate but no chance. My mind was still wondering for #3, #4 and a bit to #5 too. Lost it so badly at those controls, 4-5minutes...

At #5 I stopped and closed my map. A few seconds of breathing and clearing my head. Listened to my heart and found the beat clearly. Map open and go again. From the heart.

After that, I kept going all the way until the end. No mistakes, no hesitations but very tired. I was dying in the downhill coming to the last control. BUT, I decided to go all out for the last time this year. And it totally paid off: fastest finish chute split(23seconds), so fast that the announcer stopped the award ceremony to mention me running in ;)

Very happy about all of the things I learned about myself racing all out this weekend. Now its time to shut it down for a few days and then... I'll think about that then :)
