orienteering 1:06:00 [3] 5.0 mi (13:12 / mi)
24c shoes: asics gel excite 3

no time limit score-o ish race at ft Steilacoom. Overall an "eh" race- flow was marginal, ankle hurt, the "open land w/scattered trees" south of 108 is now fight, 120 was missing, and I spent the whole race up to 116 trying to decide which control to go to after it.

shoes: asics g-1000 3

went on a short trail run to test out my ankle. It felt pretty good in the beginning, but hurt going downhill and started to ache towards the end.

cycling race (mountail) 37:00 [4] 7.0 mi (5:17 / mi)

First bike race!!! In the first 5 minutes, I found myself caught behind an older man, and although my confidence lies in myself pounding up the hills, he began to go slower, and slower, and then stopped-- right in the middle of the hill! My front tire hit his back tire before I could stop, and next thing I knew I was falling sideways into a 7 year old kid that was trying to pass the commotion. Poor people behind us. Other than a wrong turn and a near-miss-endo, race was pretty fun.
