Despite the pouring rain, the short warmup (meet was running 25 min early), the false start (they "had to test the gun"), and the fact that I ran this mostly alone, this felt great and was fun! Not quite where I want to be, but it's gonna take baby steps to get down to 5:20, and I raced this pretty well. Third lap was slow so I needa work on endurance. 6th place, got my first ribbon for track :)

First 800 of the season! Crappy weather and not a PR but this was fun and I won! Kinda going for 2:28 and ran a perfect 37 first 200m but then a 39 and I guess just got slower from there

Was gonna tempo this at 13:20 pace but felt good so picked it up a bit. The other girl was ~100m ahead of me the whole time so second to last lap I picked it up, passed her on the final straightaway, but she caught up in the last 5m and beat me by .01 second...

This felt great! I did my first 600 assuming 80s as my mile pace, but coach said I can't run faster workouts until I race that pace, so I kept the rest at 81-82s.
