Note
(rest day)

Driving to Adelaide today for xmas. Sophie's first interstate trip.

Friday Dec 22, 2006 #

Running long 1:50:00 [2]

A long run around Yarra Bend park after finishing up work early today.

Thursday Dec 21, 2006 #

Running intervals 35:00 [4]

4 x 1km around Merri Creek. I ran early in the morning before it starts to heat up. I've also got another 2 xmas parties to go to in the next 24 hours.

Warnie... you're a legend! It's been a pleasure watching your last 15 years of test cricket.

Running 57:00 [3]

Fawkner Park loop at lunch time. The sky was grey from bushfire smoke and it reminded me of running in Beijing, but without the humidity.

Tuesday Dec 19, 2006 #

Running intervals (Fartlek) 55:00 [4]

Botanical fartlek - 2 laps
I'm still a little tired from Sunday, but not a bad run today.
With water restrictions now ramping up further, even the parklands and gardens are looking pretty dry. The Botanical Gardens still seem to have a few exemptions though.

Monday Dec 18, 2006 #

Running 44:00 [2]

An easy morning run to recover from yesterday.

I'm setting the MFR Christmas sprint course tonight, but I don't think I'll be doing much running. It is a Norwegian style Micro course with several controls near each other and penalty loops for mis-punches.

Running 20:00 [1]

Putting out controls for the MFR Xmas event, and doing the warm up.

Sunday Dec 17, 2006 #

Running long 2:26:00 [3] 33.0 km (4:25 / km)
slept:7.0

A very long run around the entire Capital City Trail with Blair. It was quite a reasonable pace, but I felt good for most of the run. Blair had what in footy terms is referred to as a groin injury, but I'll leave it to him to explain that.
