Running tempo 55:00 [4] 11.0 km (5:00 / km)

Tempo run around an old street/park orienteering course of Yarra Bend. An undulating 8.5km in 37 minutes. I struggled to get my top speed much below 4m/km until the second half. I think that this was partly due to the hills and also running early in the morning when my body was still half asleep and not warmed up properly.

Running 1:00:00 [3] 12.0 km (5:00 / km)

Nice to be running again injury free.
2 laps of the tan: 17mins, then 16:30. No knee or ankle pain today. The injuries seem to have disappeared just as quickly as they appeared.

Note
(injured)

As rediculous as it sounds, this injury seems to be contagious. Last week Anne had a sore knee with exactly the same symptoms that I have. The good news is that it disappeared within a few days.

Today my knee feels quite a bit better, but my ankle is now sore (for no apparent reason).

Running 25:00 [2] 4.0 km (6:15 / km)

Good news today. My knee was feeling fine, so I went out for a slow jog to test it. No soreness in the knee - just a little knee stiffness felt in the second half, so I didn't overdo it.

My left ankle is also a little sore today, but not really a problem when running.

Running 25:00 [1] 2.0 km (12:30 / km)
(injured)

Tried to go for a run, but all I could do was establish that I have some kind of knee injury.
Within 30 seconds of starting, I could feel the pain in my left knee, and it didn't get any better as I continued. I stopped and walked, and it felt fine, but the pain returned if I started jogging.
I decided to listen to my body and not risk aggrevating it any further, so just walked back and enjoyed the sunshine.

Running 45:00 [2] 8.0 km (5:38 / km)

MFR club run from Nicola's house with Blair and Dion. An easy paced run. Checked out the new bike path from Darebin Parklands to Heidelberg Road, however it was still fenced off.
My left knee was sore for the last 5 minutes. I'm not sure why, as I didn't do anything to it.

Running long 1:30:00 [2] 16.0 km (5:38 / km)

Long slow run. Loop around Chandler Highway to see if anyone was at the pipe bridge at 7:30am to meet me, but I was on my own. I headed off around the golf course, and then back on the other side of the river, with an extra loop around Kew cottages.

Finished by 8:45am to get ready to take Mason to cricket with the Milo have a go center.
