Orienteering tempo 36:52 [4] 7.5 km (4:55 / km) +200m 4:20 / km

Melbourne Forest Loop terrain trial.
New season best - 36:52. Started a little conservatively, and increased the tempo progressively, finishing off strongly. Given the recent storm damage to some parts of the course I was very happy.
Good for confidence for next week.

Running warm up/down 15:00 [2] 3.0 km (5:00 / km)

Note
(rest day)

Blocked nose, then blocked ears. Not a good sign.
I decided to take a rest day today.

Orienteering long 1:42:00 [3] 18.0 km (5:40 / km)

Long terrain run at Yarra Bend.
2 laps of the Melbourne Forest Loop at long distance orienteering pace. About 42 minutes for each lap.
The recent storms have caused a few uncrossable trees to fall on the terrain loop. As a consequence the course is now probably 30 seconds slower than 6 weeks ago.
Very tired at the end of the run. The rest of the family have head colds, and I can start to feel one coming on. I may take it easy for a day or 2.
