Running 35:00 [2] 7.0 km (5:00 / km)
(sick)

Happy Birthday to me!

Spent the weekend in Adelaide for the Christmas Pageant. The kids thoroughly enjoyed this, although the weather could have been better.

Adelaide tried to set a record for the longest Mexican Wave (approx 200,000 people), but for some reason it failed. It started on South Terrace, went along King William St, Wakefild St, Pultney St and Grenfell St to North Terrace. However the Mexican Wave must have stoppped somewhere, as it didn't make it back on the other side of the road.
Some people reported that it was too windy for the helicopter that was trying to film it, so they aborted the attempt. Records were never meant to be broken easily. Perhaps next year.

Went for a short jog, but felt very tired after being sick and having to get up at 5:45am to take my parents in to save a front row spot for the kids at the pageant.

During my run I saw a great fight between dog owners. The result being one dog owner floored (by a dog) clutching his shoulder and limping off.

Still feeling poorly, so no run.

Note
(sick) (rest day)

I was spreading a few too many germs at work, so I decided to stay home on Thursday. Maybe I'll get to watch some cricket this afternoon.

Running 30:00 [3] 5.66 km (5:18 / km)
(sick)

I was going to have a rest day, but some inconsiderate person decided to get run over by a train at North Richmond, which meant that the Hurstbridge line was out of action at peak hour.
Rather than try to find a tram or bus, I decided that it would be much quicker just to run home.
I only jogged slowly, and got stuck at Alexandra Parade for 3 or 4 minutes, but I still got home only a few minutes later than normal.

Running tempo 12:00 [4] 3.5 km (3:26 / km)

Tempo run over a similar distance to what the horse race in the afternoon. I was about 8 minutes slower though!
I was feeling a bit cold and off colour in the monring, and the run was quite hard work.
I got a bit worse in the afternoon and started to lose my voice and feel symptoms of a head cold, so I tried to rest as much as possible.

Running warm up/down 35:00 [2] 7.0 km (5:00 / km)

Running 44:00 [2] 9.0 km (4:53 / km)

MFR Monday night run from home with Blair, Nicola and James.
Yarra Bend Golf Course run. Surprisingly I felt very good, depite feeling a bit of a cold coming on.
I found 6 golf balls, and left one in the par 5 6th hole. I wonder if the first player on Tuesday morning thought for a moment that he may have shot an albatross?

Running long 1:15:00 [2] 13.0 km (5:46 / km)

A very slow jog around the river to Studley Park and Gipps St bridge. It was quite windy and I was feeling a bit ordinary with hayfever, so the run was nothing special.
I did notice a good playground near the Gipps St bridge, so I took Mason and Torren there to check it out after a trip to Ikea in the afternoon.

I forgot to do my tax, so allocated some time after the kids went to bed. I set a new personal best by completing 2 tax returns in under 2 hours!
