A couple of laps of Fitzroy Gardens at a solid pace as a bit of a fitness test for the weekend.
Felt good, and seem to have pulled up reasonably well. Good news for once.
Half of Mike's Meander (in reverse). Turned off at the end of Fawkner Park and ran back via the tan.
Starting to feel much better. Just a little lack of strenght in the pelvic floor region, but otherwise felt ok. My legs are nice and fresh. It was tempting to stride out a bit, but I kept it under control.
I'm resigned to the fact that I will not be fit and able to compete at the level that I would expect at the coming National League races.
My goal now is just to avoid injury so that I am able to finish these races and enjoy them.
Got through another run, but that was about all. No pain, but I was never really that comfortable throughout. My pelvic floor still seems a bit tender, and could probably do with a rest tomorrow.
