Note
(rest day)

Bugger! Left groin soreness occurred again last night for no apparent reason, so I'll need a rest day to allow it to settle down.

Running long 1:15:00 [2] 15.0 km (5:00 / km)

Mike's Meander.
I am starting to feel more like a runner again, getting around the Meander course with no difficulty today, after a reasonably hard session yesterday. Things are starting to look up.
Albert Park is starting to resemble a Grand Prix track, and most of the Moomba attractions have disappeared now.

Running tempo 49:21 [3] 10.88 km (4:32 / km)

20 minute threshold run, although I ran a bit below threshold at 4m/km pace as my usual threshold may have been above my current injury threshold!
A bit tentative in the first 5 minutes, but felt quite good once warmed up.
Getting started on the warm down after a 5 minute rest was also easier than I expected. Last week this caused me some trouble.

Note
(rest day)

Walking around Jeff's Shed for about 4 hours looking at cars.
Mazda CX-9 and Toyota Kluger would be nice cars for my family if I had a spare $50K!

State Series Orienteering - Tipperary Springs

Good to be racing again. My leg was mostly pain free, but I was just a little careful when going at top speed as I didn't feel like I had full movement just yet.

A decent result, given my preparation, but quite a lot of room for improvement in my fitness still.

Southern Cross Series race 5
Don't Wake 'em Gully

A bit stressed at the start, with many people wanting to start before they had registered and given me a chance to enter their SI information.
This meant that results were not available as soon as people finished, but there were on the web within 4 hours of the race!

My run was a bit ordinary. My right leg is ok for one run, but two in a day is a big ask a the moment. The first 10 minutes felt like I was still warming up and I struggled to get a decent speed up.
